FIFA is looking for a Director Event Operations & Infrastructure to oversee the seamless execution of stadium operations, venue management, host broadcast production, and event media services for FIFA tournaments and events. This is a unique opportunity to lead high-profile global projects, ensuring the highest standards of infrastructure and event operations. THE POSITION These are your key tasks: Lead & Inspire: Manage a team of Heads across key operational areas, ensuring excellence in infrastructure, venue management, host broadcast production and event media services. Deliver World-Class Events: Oversee the operational readiness of stadiums, training sites, and other FIFA-related venues. Drive Innovation: Enhance broadcast production, venue management, and media services through cutting-edge technologies and best practices. Strategic Oversight: Align event operations with FIFA\’s long-term goals, ensuring seamless execution on time and within budget. The specific competencies we require for this position are: Proven Leadership: Experience managing multidisciplinary teams in high-profile, international sports events. Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and implement long-term infrastructure and operational strategies. Financial Acumen: Expertise in budget management, forecasting, and cost control. Decision Maker: Ability to thrive under pressure, make swift, pragmatic decisions, and navigate complex environments. Exceptional Communicator: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders. Sports Industry Expertise: Good understanding of stadium operations, venue management, host broadcast production, and media services within major sporting events. Education: Degree in Business Management, Sports Management, or similar. Languages: Fluent in English; additional FIFA languages are a plus. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office and event management systems. Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently and work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
