Minimum Requirements 5+ years’ experience of working as an IT Architect or as a Lead Developer A deep understanding of power trading and energy management systems, likely gained from working with a power utility or trading company A strong, all-round knowledge of IT and software integration/development, together with experience and knowledge of project management, architectural frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) and software development methodologies Expertise in cloud and integration technologies is desirable, likewise experience of contract management and procurement Demonstrable ability to create an architectural vision and to design complex IT solutions, and to act as a mentor Educated to at least Masters degree level or an equivalent in computer science or a similar technology or engineering discipline Fluent in English; competency in French is advantageous Activities What you will do: Oversee the architecture for the energy management systems perimeter Take a lead/advisory role in energy management projects and contribute as necessary Advise and manage the integration of systems within the power trading and energy management environment Communicate with business stakeholders to understand their complex requirements and advise IT and business solutions, with an optimal mix of global vs regional solutions Cooperate and align with other Technology Experts and Tech Leads from within Trading IT on cross-domain design and implementation initiatives Coach new and existing analysts, developers and application engineers, to ensure standards and knowledge transfer Work with the relevant IT delivery teams, provide inputs to their work and ensure the quality of deliverables Provide inputs to procurement initiatives, in terms of design and requirements inputs, and the drafting of contracts with third parties Apply the architectural, security and design, and other relevant standards of Trading IT, including cloud migration Ensure compliance of development and related activities with legal, regulatory and other audit/internal requirements, e.g. Sarbannes-Oxley Contribute to the strategy and budgeting exercises for Gas & Power IT About TotalEnergies TotalEnergies is a broad energy company that produces and markets energies on a global scale: oil and biofuels, natural gas and green gases, renewables and electricity.
