Job Description: The Salesforce Technical Architect is part of the pre-sales organisation. The focus of the Technical Architect is covering sophisticated technical topics within the sales cycle, helping IT organisations to understand how Salesforce fits and integrates into their existing architecture landscape. Topics include technical capability maps, data architecture, integration architecture and security topics. In addition, the Technical Architect also plays a key role in delivering proof of concepts (PoCs) and hackathons. Implementing and demonstrating the capabilities of the Salesforce Customer 360 platform holistically is a vital skill, transforming architectural visions into tangible solutions. Your Impact – Responsibilities: Support the sales cycle, covering the technical architecture Explain the benefits of the Salesforce Customer 360 platform to IT and technical partners Understand and assess the technical customer requirements and potential solutions Advise CIO/CTO/CXO level contacts, their departments, and IT teams as they look to move their business to a cloud architecture Answer questions that relate to the technical capabilities of the Salesforce Customer 360 platform Maintain a basic legal understanding of European Data Protection legislation which concerns Salesforce and its customers. Establish a close relationship to customer technical collaborators and act as a trusted advisor Respond to RFPs Participate in Proof of Concepts and Hackathons Coach and mentor fellow pre-sales colleagues, including pre-sales architects and solution engineers Be a leader with vision on specific technology topics Drive innovation projects with impact (POCs, MVPs) Minimum Qualifications: Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the strengths for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.). Fluent English and German or French (spoken and written) Experience in pre-sales, e.g. solution engineering Familiar with relevant Swiss & industry data privacy and compliance requirements (e.g. FINMA, revFADP) Knowledge about GDPR and Data Privacy, especially for the DACH region Experience of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, etc. Multi-year experience in either software, system or enterprise architecture fields Good understanding of the architectural principles of cloud based platforms including SaaS, PaaS, multitenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure, etc. Good understanding of all cloud offerings in the market and ability to discuss cloud architectures Good understanding of enterprise application integration, including SOA, ESB, EAI, ETL environments as well as common EA topics such as process orchestration, BPM, CEP, MDM, BI/BA, etc. Familiar with principles of network, application and information security General interest to stay at the forefront of current technology development and keep knowledge up to date Preferred Qualifications: Previous practitioner and/or implementation experience of Salesforce solutions or similar solutions Salesforce Certified Architect or Admin Experience working with various Salesforce AppExchange partners A good understanding of the security processes, standards & issues involved in multi-tier, multi-tenant web applications – e.g. SSO, OAuth, SAML, Field-Level Encryption, etc. One or more of the following certifications in security topics including ISACA CISA, ISACA CRISC, ISC2 ISSAP Diversity & Inclusion: One of Salesforce\’s core values is, Equality.
