Our Commodity Trading team is specialized in both auditing and consulting for activities related to trading of soft and hard commodities as well as metals, oil and gas and sustainable energy. We support Middle Offices, Finance team and Trading Risk teams of our client in their considerations on the commodity risk management framework and offer practical advice and deep insight to adapt to changing markets, overcome challenges and grow businesses. We are further expanding our services to our customers in particular in strengthening our team and we are looking for a: Senior Consultant – Commodities Trading – Geneva 100% What you can expect from us – career-defining opportunities and experiences: Conduct thorough audit of financial statements of commodity traders to ensure all financial data is complete and accurately recorded and presented. Assess the methods and assumptions used for valuing trading assets and liabilities, ensuring they are reasonable, consistent and in line with market conditions. Review revenue recognition policies and compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS, Swiss CO, US GAAP). Provide technical support on accounting topics like fair value accounting & hedge accounting. Conduct internal controls and process assessments for commodity traders including creating risks & controls matrix, designing operational processes and automation. Knowledge of valuations of vanilla and complex derivatives. Assistance in defining and assessing a risk management framework (including but not limited to price risk, geopolitical risk, and operational risk), designing risk indicators, stress-testing price volatility impact and setting up trading activity monitoring systems. Provide support on CTRM implementation. Analyze processes to identify optimization opportunities and implement measures in areas such as risk management/hedging, trade finance structuration, margining, bank & counterparty relationship management, financial reporting. Market Analysis: Assess the current and projected commodity market conditions, including supply and demand dynamics, price trends, and influencing factors. Contribute to our go-to-market initiatives and support to organize events and write articles that highlight our expertise and insights in the commodities trading and risk management domain. You bring that with you – skills with which you can shape the future: A degree in finance, economics, or a related field. 3 to 6 years of working experience in within an audit firm, a consulting firm, a risk management department or a trading floor, where you have faced commodity risks hedging. Key qualities for success in our team include being a team player, showing determination, commitment, possessing quick comprehension, excellent communication skills, and flexibility. Willingness to work in a multicultural and diverse environment. As an international company, we require English; and French would be an advantage. Proficient in MS Office applications.
