Sea Freight Operator

pSalary: EUR75000 - EUR per annum /p h3bKloten, Switzerland | Up to CHF 100,000 /b /h3 pA leading global logistics and freight forwarding organisation is looking to strengthen its Kloten operation with an experienced Sea Freight Operator. /p pThis is an excellent opportunity to join an established international business with a strong reputation in freight forwarding, a genuinely multicultural working environment and a clear focus on developing its people. /p h3bThe Role /b /h3 pAs a Sea Freight Operator, you will manage shipments from start to finish across Import, Export and Cross-Trade, working closely with customers, carriers, overseas offices and logistics partners. /p pbYour responsibilities will include: /b /p ul liManaging sea freight shipments from collection through to final delivery /li liHandling customer enquiries and providing proactive updates /li liCoordinating with shipping lines, customers, authorities, overseas branches and international partners /li liPreparing, checking and maintaining shipping and transport documentation /li liMonitoring shipments and ensuring deliveries are completed on time /li liManaging claims, damages and any operational issues that arise /li liMaintaining accurate shipment files in line with internal procedures /li liSupporting continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to improve processes /li liWorking as part of a collaborative team to deliver a high level of customer service /li /ul h3bAbout You /b /h3 pbThe ideal candidate will have: /b /p ul liPrevious experience within Sea Freight / Ocean Freight /li liCompleted vocational training in Freight Forwarding and Logistics /li liStrong knowledge of Import, Export and/or Cross-Trade operations /li liA customer-focused and commercially aware approach /li liStrong attention to detail and a high standard of quality /li liGood spoken and written English /li liStrong MS Office skills, particularly Excel /li liExperience with CargoWise would be advantageous /li liA proactive, outgoing personality and the ability to work effectively within a team /li /ul h3bWhat's On Offer? /b /h3 ul liSalary up to CHF 100,000, depending on experience /li li26 days' holiday /li liUp to 2 days' remote working per week at 100% workload /li liPerformance-based remuneration /li liStrong opportunities for professional development and progression /li liA varied and responsible position within an international organisation /li liMulticultural and inclusive working environment /li liFlat management structure with quick decision-making /li liModern IT equipment and ergonomic workstations /li liExcellent public transport links and free parking /li liA collaborative team environment with a strong emphasis on people and culture /li /ul h3bThe Company /b /h3 pYou’ll be joining a well-established international logistics organisation with a significant global footprint, operating across numerous markets and locations worldwide. /p pDespite its size, the business places considerable emphasis on its people, encouraging collaboration, ownership, continuous improvement and long-term development.
