Architecture Owner CI Platforms 100% (m/f/d) - GitLab | Backstage | Developer Experience

For a client in the financial sector in Bern, we are looking for an experienced individual for the architectural development and optimisation of central continuous integration platforms.

Together with the Delivery Team Lead and the Product Owner, you form the technical leadership of the delivery team. You design a powerful developer experience and further develop platforms, self-service offerings, and automations for the internal developer teams.

Responsibilities

• Architectural responsibility for the development, optimisation, and renewal of GitLab, Artifactory, SonarQube, and the internal Developer Portal based on Backstage
• Further development of the Developer Portal according to the requirements of the developer teams
• Designing solutions that create transparency and enable independent, efficient use of the platforms
• Implementing complex automations with the team, for example for rollouts, upgrades, housekeeping, self-healing, and integrations
• Advising the Product Owner on architecture, technology, and security within the product roadmap
• Creating and maintaining architectural documentation and guidelines as well as ensuring their implementation
• Supporting the description and approval of architectural artefacts

Experience

• Tertiary education or further training in computer science at university of applied sciences or university level
• Solid technology knowledge and architectural experience in the area of CI platforms
• Good knowledge of software development with Go, React, TypeScript, and Java
• Good knowledge of Linux, shells, and creating Docker images
• Solid knowledge in observability with Grafana and Prometheus
• Solid knowledge in Helm, Ansible, Git, and AWS
• Enjoy working closely with development teams and improving the developer experience
• Very good German skills at least at level C1 as well as very good English skills
