Head of IT (m/w/d)

As the Head of IT, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving Wingcopter's technology strategy during a time of growth. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable IT infrastructure and systems that align with the business’s evolving needs, with a particular focus on ERP system implementation to streamline operations and support the company's growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a scalable and innovative IT strategy that aligns seamlessly with our business goals.
• Design, manage, and optimize our infrastructure and digital ecosystem to support our growing needs.
• Manage and support a hybrid technical environment, including:
  • Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID, etc.)
  • Windows, Linux and Mac client systems
  • On-premises network infrastructure (e.g., Sophos firewalls, UniFi switching/wireless)
  • SaaS business applications (Finance, DevOps (Github), Engineering (Jira, Confluence), Production)
  • ERP systems and their integration with other business platforms
• Ensure our IT systems are governed properly, keeping data secure and fully compliant with industry standards and regulations.
• Oversee IT service delivery using industry best practices (ITIL, COBIT).
• Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering growth, development, and a collaborative culture.
• Take responsibility for implementing robust security measures to protect our systems and data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our IT efforts align with broader business objectives.

Your profile

• You're a natural leader who knows how to inspire and guide teams, creating a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• You bring over 10 years of experience as a Head of IT or in a senior leadership role at a fast-growing startup or scaling company.
• You’ve got a deep understanding of scaling IT operations—whether it’s infrastructure, cloud systems, or streamlining internal processes—to support rapid growth.
• You have a strong hands-on mentality.
• You have strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Windows and Linux systems, network infrastructure, and SaaS integration.
• You have a solid background in IT governance (ITIL, COBIT), with a focus on ensuring compliance and upholding security standards. ITIL certification is a plus.
• You make decisions with confidence and have a knack for solving problems, especially in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Your communication and interpersonal skills are excellent, and you know how to engage with stakeholders at every level of the organization.
