Head of Systems Engineering (m/f/d)

Your mission Build, lead, and grow the Systems Engineering team, ensuring strong performance and delivery of key product milestones Define and drive the systems engineering strategy, aligned with overall product and company goals Own the overall system design of our UAV platform, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and ready for certification Make and guide key system design decisions across software, hardware, and mechanics Drive the development of the system architecture, ensuring all parts work together seamlessly Ensure clear and structured requirements, with full traceability from stakeholder needs to implementation Lead system-level testing and validation, ensuring the product meets certification requirements Work closely with cross-functional teams and coach, mentor, and grow a high-performing team Your profile Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a comparable field10+ years of experience in systems engineering, including leadership in complex, safety-critical environments Experience as a Systems Lead, Chief Engineer, or similar role with end-to-end system responsibility Strong knowledge of systems engineering processes (e. g., INCOSE, ISO 15288)Experience with aviation certification standards (e. g., ARP4754A) and safety methods (e. g., FHA, DFMEA)Proven expertise in System architecture and design, Requirements engineering and traceability and System-level validation and verification Experience with MBSE tools and modern systems engineering methods Strong ability to make system-level decisions and technical trade-offs Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach Strong leadership and team development skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities High level of ownership, quality focus, and structured working style What you bring as a perfect candidate You thrive in collaborative environments and value collective success.
