Overview
In this role, you will lead a platform engineering team focused on developer experience and productivity to help engineers ship high-quality software quickly and safely at scale. You’ll drive AI-powered tooling, CI/CD improvements, and self-service capabilities that unify tools across platform groups. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and Product to deliver high-impact platform investments, while coaching engineers and fostering an inclusive, fast-learning culture. This is an AI-forward role at a globally distributed company with a strong emphasis on ownership and cross-functional impact.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead and grow a platform engineering team and own roadmaps for CI/CD, developer workflows, and internal tooling
- Create a unified developer experience by integrating tools from across platform groups into a self-service interface with clear service health signals
- Define capacity planning and right-sized architecture templates to enable self-serve engineering decisions
- Develop AI-powered platform tooling and automation for recurring SRE/support workflows
- Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, Security Engineering, and Product to translate feedback into high-impact platform investments
- Coach engineers and technical leads, fostering accountability and rapid iteration
- Communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across strategic and deep-dive contexts
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 1–2 years directly managing software engineers or in a technical program management role
- 3–5 years hands-on software engineering experience (Go, Python) building developer productivity tools or internal platforms
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and cloud technologies (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, distributed systems)
- Experience with capacity planning and right-sized architecture patterns
- Familiarity with SRE practices and tooling for support workflows
- Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams across time zones
- Strong communication and people leadership skills
