We’re supporting a client with the appointment of a Head of Transfer Pricing & Tax. This role would suit an experienced transfer pricing professional who wants to take broader ownership of tax matters, work closely with senior stakeholders and help develop a team.
The business is particularly interested in someone who brings strong technical transfer pricing expertise and is keen to deepen their work across tax, tax accounting and financial services-related matters.
What you’ll do
- Lead on complex transfer pricing matters and help shape the organisation’s approach to TP and tax.
- Work across tax-focused topics, including permanent establishment matters, APA cases and the preparation of tax opinions.
- Partner with senior stakeholders on commercially important decisions.
- Support and develop a team, bringing structure and technical guidance as the function grows.
- Build relationships across tax, finance and the wider business.
- Broaden the team’s capabilities across transfer pricing and related tax areas.
What we’re looking for
- Significant transfer pricing experience; this is essential.
- Fluent German.
- Strong interest in tax and tax accounting, ideally backed by relevant experience.
- Financial services experience would be a significant advantage, but isn’t essential.
- Exposure to permanent establishment matters, APAs or tax opinions would be valuable.
- A willingness to extend your expertise beyond a narrow transfer pricing remit.
- Experience developing others and an interest in helping build a team.
- A tax accounting qualification or CFA would be a strong advantage.
- Existing banking or financial-market relationships would be welcome.
Why consider it?
This is an opportunity to take on a broader leadership remit while staying close to technically interesting work. You’ll be able to combine transfer pricing expertise with tax-focused projects and play a part in developing the team’s future direction.
