The Role

Lead the International Health product strategy for AI-powered Clinical Decision Support, shaping how clinicians around the world access trusted medical knowledge.

At Wolters Kluwer Health, the Up To Date suite supports millions of clinical decisions every day.

As AI—including Generative AI and Agentic AI—transforms how clinicians search for, interpret, and apply medical knowledge, we are building intelligent experiences that improve access to trusted guidance while maintaining the highest standards of clinical quality, safety, and trust.

As Director, Technology Product Management – Health International, you will define the international product strategy for AI-enabled Clinical Decision Support and lead a global team responsible for identifying, validating, and scaling innovative product capabilities across international markets.

Reporting to the General Manager, Health International, you will lead a global team of Product Managers and act as the strategic bridge between International markets and the US Product organization.

Working closely with the VP of Product, Engineering, Clinical SMEs, Commercial, and Regional leaders, you will ensure international customer insights and market opportunities shape the global innovation roadmap while accelerating experimentation and adoption across diverse geographies.

Your team will operate as an integral part of the global Product organization.

While reporting into the International Health Segment, Product Managers will frequently participate in global cross-functional product pods led by the US Product organization, requiring strong collaboration, shared ownership, and alignment across regions.

This is a player‑coach leadership role.

While leading and developing a global Product team, you will remain actively engaged in strategic product discovery, customer engagement, and high‑impact AI initiatives, particularly where executive sponsorship and cross-functional leadership are required.

This is a global role which requires (international) travels of approximately 25% of the time.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Define and execute the International product strategy for AI‑powered Clinical Decision Support, aligned with the global product vision and business objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing global team of Product Managers, fostering a culture of innovation, customer‑centricity, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Act as the voice of the International Health Segment within the global Product organization, ensuring regional customer insights, market opportunities, and innovation priorities are represented in enterprise product decisions.
  • Foster a highly collaborative operating model where International Product Managers are embedded within global product pods, enabling shared ownership of product outcomes while ensuring regional customer needs are represented in global decisions.
  • Drive experimentation with AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions across international markets, rapidly validating new capabilities and scaling successful innovations globally.
  • Personally lead high‑impact product initiatives, pilots, and strategic AI programs where executive sponsorship and senior product leadership are required.
  • Partner closely with the US Product organization, Engineering, Clinical SMEs, Design, Commercial, and Regional leaders to influence roadmap priorities and deliver trusted, evidence‑based AI experiences that improve clinical workflows.
  • Balance customer value, clinical trust, business impact, technical feasibility, and responsible AI principles when prioritizing the international product portfolio.
  • Define and monitor product success through clear KPIs, including customer adoption, engagement, clinical workflow impact, market growth, and commercial performance.
  • Communicate product strategy, portfolio priorities, experimentation outcomes, risks, and business impact to senior leadership.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • 10+ years of product management or product leadership experience, including ownership of complex product portfolios.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing high‑performing product teams in a global or matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to define product strategy and influence executive stakeholders across multiple functions, regions, and cultures.
  • Experience leading AI‑enabled digital products, preferably in healthcare, enterprise software, knowledge platforms, or clinical decision support.
  • Strong understanding of modern AI technologies—including Generative AI, Agentic AI, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM‑based applications, and intelligent workflow orchestration—with the ability to translate technical capabilities into customer value and product strategy.
  • Strong expertise in customer discovery, experimentation, product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and data‑driven decision making.
  • A hands‑on product leadership style, with the ability to move seamlessly between strategic planning, executive stakeholder management, and day‑to‑day product discovery and execution.
  • Experience leading teams within a global matrix organization, balancing regional priorities with global objectives and enabling teams to thrive in cross‑functional product pods.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships without direct authority.
  • Strong commercial and customer mindset, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and execution in a fast‑changing environment.
  • Preferred Background
  • A clinical background (e. g., MD, RN, Pharm D, or other healthcare professional qualification) is a strong plus.
  • Candidates with significant experience working alongside clinicians and designing clinical workflows will also be highly valued.
  • Experience in Clinical Decision Support, Medical Information, Point‑of‑Care, Digital Health, or other healthcare technology solutions.
