As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated Development Engineer for a temporary assignment until end of 2027. The department is RundD Near Patient Care System Development und Integration – the architects of ready-to-use IVD systems for near-patient testing. Using the blood gas analysis technology of Roche, healthcare professionals are able to make decisions for patients in critical situations – in the emergency room, in the intensive care unit and in the operating room. The company aims to create the future of blood gas analysis. The successful candidate will be part of the workflow development and system integration team and contribute to the design and improvement of the new instrument prototypes.
Tasks und Responsibilities
Develop and optimize fluid control workflows of the new analyzer.
Investigate technical issues around the control of blood and calibration fluids and propose design improvements.
Create data analysis tools for analyzing how well the new system performs.
Design experiments to assess specific system performance aspects.
Get the prototype analyzers working in the blood labs.
Must-Haves
A MSc degree in the field of Engineering (Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanics, Fluidics, etc.)
Minimum 3 years of experience in the industry or in research, or proven experience on workflow development of blood gas analyzers
Great skills in grasping complex system interactions
Experienced in Python programming and analysis of complex data (required). Experience with C++ is an advantage
Experience with systems engineering
Great at creating structured documentation and written investigation reports
Persistent in finding root causes of technical issues and driven to fix them together with the team of engineers and scientists
Self-reliant and a great networker in order to gain support for your own work
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
