On behalf of our client, we're looking for a

Senior Autonomy Software Engineer to join a fast-growing aerospace technology company that's redefining autonomous flight.

Having recently secured

Series A funding , the company is now fully focused on bringing production-ready autonomous aircraft to market .

With an initial focus on logistics and a long-term vision spanning multiple industries, they're building a software-first aviation company where autonomy is at the heart of the product.

This is an opportunity to join a highly experienced engineering team with talent from leading organisations including

Lilium, Volocopter, and Porsche , working on the next generation of intelligent aerial robotics.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Design, develop and integrate high-level autonomy software for UAVs.
  • Develop advanced perception capabilities, including sensor fusion, computer vision, object detection, tracking, landing site identification and feature-based navigation.
  • Design algorithms for trajectory planning, path following and dynamic obstacle avoidance.
  • Optimise and deploy computer vision models on embedded GPU platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson using CUDA and Tensor RT.
  • Collaborate closely with flight control and systems engineers to integrate autonomy software into production UAV platforms.
  • Contribute to software architecture, testing frameworks and engineering best practices.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience developing autonomy, perception, robotics or unmanned systems.
  • Strong programming skills in

C++ and Python .

  • Experience developing embedded or real-time software on Linux or RTOS-based platforms.

• Practical experience with

  • Computer Vision
  • Sensor Fusion
  • Feature-Based Navigation
  • Trajectory Planning
  • Dynamic Obstacle Avoidance
  • Experience with

ROS/ROS2 and simulation tools such as Gazebo or MATLAB/Simulink.

  • Experience with NVIDIA Jetson, CUDA, Tensor RT or other GPU-accelerated platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and professional fluency in English.
