Site Supervisor – Extra Low Voltage (ELV)

About the role
The Site Supervisor – ELV oversees and coordinates all on-site extra low voltage systems installation so that delivery is completed safely, on schedule, within budget and in line with project specifications, industry standards and regulations.
What you will do
- Supervise day-to-day ELV installation on site; run daily briefings and allocate tasks.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers and other trades; monitor subcontractors, technicians and installers.
- Ensure installations comply with approved drawings and standards (IEC, DIN, ISO, BICSI, TIA/EIA or project-specific codes); perform inspections, cable testing and signal verification.
- Enforce health and safety: toolbox talks, PPE, hazard identification, support for HSE audits.
- Track daily progress against the schedule and production plan; report delays and risks, and support recovery plans.
- Ensure proper installation and integration of structured cabling (copper and fibre), data networks, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, PA / voice evacuation and BMS interfaces.
- Manage materials and keep daily reports, test results, inspection records and as-built documentation; support commissioning and handover.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, system vendors and inspectors.
What you bring
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in ELV systems installation.
- Proven experience on construction projects (commercial, data centres, infrastructure or MEP).
- Previous supervisory experience is essential.
- Experience in structured cabling (copper and fibre optic) and familiarity with ELV standards (BICSI, TIA/EIA, IEC).
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics; basic IT / networking knowledge is an advantage.
- Leadership, clear communication, attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
Working conditions
- Primarily site-based within a construction environment.
- May require extended working hours to meet deadlines.
- Requires mobility and active site supervision.
Preferred certifications
- BICSI certification or equivalent.
- Health & Safety certification (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHA) and First Aid training.
