Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the Health & Safety Management System and compliance with technical and legal requirements.
  • Ensure compliance of each country with World Courier’s Health & Safety management system and local regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance to offices and colleagues on all matters pertaining to Health & Safety and compliance.
  • Work proactively with Health & Safety delegates to establish and maintain a system that promotes a culture of safe working.
  • Ensure that the Company’s Health and Safety Policy is implemented consistently.
  • Monitor, evaluate and review Health and Safety policy and practice; make recommendations and implement new policies and procedures as required by each country’s local regulation.
  • Assess activities/non-conformances related to health & safety at the local level.
  • Respond to client questionnaires in close cooperation with the branch/country manager and Health & Safety Representative.
  • Schedule client audits and coordinate the audit agenda in close cooperation with the branch/country manager and Health & Safety Representative.
  • Manage on‑site preparation for client audits in close cooperation with the branch/country manager and Health & Safety Representative.
  • Authorize local Health & Safety SOPs.
  • Liaise with local Health & Safety consultants and advise on implementation of local regulations into the business.
  • Create training material and conduct training for general Health & Safety topics, e.g., Health & Safety SOP, current laws, regulations, directives, and the health & safety management system.
  • Establish, update and manage hazard identification and risk assessment of opportunities.
  • Investigate and follow up on recorded accidents, incidents, and near misses and report to the Health & Safety Authority where required.
  • Ensure that all office buildings and equipment used receive regular inspections and maintenance.
  • Foster Health & Safety performance with continual improvement to prevent the occurrence of incidents and nonconformities, promote a positive Health & Safety culture, and enhance overall performance.

Coverage

Cover for maternity leave for the Regional Health & Safety Manager – Europe – fixed term 1 year.

Salary Range

50,000 € – 60,000 €
