Please note: This role requires the ability to work on site 3 days per week per company policy. The World Economic Forum is an international organization that brings together leaders from business, government, academia, and civil society to discuss and address global challenges. As a membership organization, the Forum engages businesses in communities and initiatives to address industry, regional, and systemic issues. The Partner Success (account management) team, part of the Regional Business Team, focuses on delivering outstanding quality of engagement to the Forum Partners seamlessly across all industries. We are currently seeking an Account Manager (Partner Success Specialist) to join the Business Engagement Africa team, focusing on building and strengthening relationships with Partner representatives across the region. Responsibilities
Maintain ongoing Partner engagement, building and sustaining relationships with Partner representatives. Ensure retention by delivering tailored engagement plans that address Partners’ priorities and deepen engagement in relevant Forum activities. Onboard new Partners into the Forum ecosystem, building strong working relationships and ensuring accurate documentation in Forum systems, including Salesforce. Monitor partner news and health to flag potential risks for engagement, help course-correct actual engagement in line with the engagement plan. Lead Partners’ event preparation for institutional events (event invitation, registration, participant agendas, speaking roles, and logistics). Identify areas of process optimisation and automation to ensure a flawless Partner engagement experience. Qualifications
Build relationships with Partner representatives to develop and execute on engagement plans based on their business priorities and industry trends. Understand and proactively manage Partner retention and engagement metrics and resulting actions. Ensure Salesforce is used to its full capacity and partner information is documented, up-to-date, and available to all. Foster a One-Forum approach, collaborating across the Account Team and internal product teams, centres, community, and industry teams to guarantee optimal partner engagement experience. Preferred Requirements and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field. 3+ years of professional work experience. Experience working in or engaging with African markets, or a strong interest in the region. Successful track record in account management and business relationship development, including proven ability to engage with multiple functions and business lines within an organization. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage complex portfolios. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong command of English. Capacity to apply critical thinking, synthesize various viewpoints, consult broadly, and work collaboratively in a team. Digital mindset and capabilities. Strong research and analytical skills. Occasional travel up to 10%.
