Overview
As Lead, Health Security, you will help shape the Pandemic Preparedness Engine (PPX) and translate its AI-enabled capabilities into real-world vaccine and therapeutic development workflows. You will work with pharma, biotech, and AI partners to design scaleable solutions that align with global health priorities and policy agendas. This role blends science, strategy, and partnerships to institutionalize PPX across national, regional, and global platforms. You will engage senior leaders and contribute to governance, communications, and sustainability efforts, driving impact at the intersection of health security and innovation.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Support strategic development and positioning of PPX as an AI-enabled platform linking disease intelligence to vaccine development
- Lead engagement with pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, and scientific partners to translate platform capabilities into practical R&D and decision-making applications
- Advance end-to-end vaccine and therapeutic R&D use cases from discovery to regulatory submission
- Contribute to governance structures, sustainability models, and operating frameworks for long-term PPX scale
- Establish and manage Expert Advisory Committees and an Executive Board to provide strategic guidance
- Contribute to strategic communications and high-level engagements (e.g., Davos, ministerial dialogues) to position PPX as a global public good
- Navigate a matrix organization, coordinate across forums and partners, and translate vision into action with scalable impact
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with leading businesses, governments, and international organizations
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Minimum 8+ years in biotechnology, pandemic preparedness, health security, AI-enabled life sciences, or related fields
- Advanced degree in public health, life sciences, biomedical engineering, or related field
- Strong understanding of vaccine or therapeutic development lifecycle, from discovery through deployment
- Experience deploying AI-enabled platforms in life sciences/health security (e.g., agentic AI, federated systems)
- Proven ability to engage senior leaders and manage complex global partnerships
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific concepts into strategic or operational initiatives
- Proven project management experience transforming vision into action through workshops and learning experiences
- Ability to operate in a highly matrixed, globally distributed team
