Join us and be part of a global team committed to helping customers and colleagues alike achieve success. /p h3Day-to-day Responsibilities /h3 pAs a Senior Application Database Administrator highly specialized in Oracle and Exadata, you will ensure the performance, high availability, security, and scalability of critical Oracle database platforms that support our payment systems, in line with standards such as PCI DSS. /p h3Your Key Responsibilities Will Include /h3 h3Database Administration and Operations /h3 ul liAdminister and optimize Oracle databases on Exadata platforms, including configuration, patching, upgrades, and leveraging Exadata-specific features for high performance. /li liProactively monitor database health, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and resolve incidents to ensure minimal downtime for critical payment processing. /li liConduct root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence and strengthen overall database resilience /li liImplement comprehensive logging, monitoring through Oracle Enterprise Manager, and observability integrations to gain proactive insights into database performance. /li /ul h3Automation and Process Improvement /h3 ul liDevelop and implement automation for database provisioning, patching, and day(1)to-day operations to improve efficiency and consistency. /li liEnhance the consistency, security, and traceability of all database changes. /li /ul h3Cloud Infrastructure and Move to Cloud /h3 ul liContribute to our Move to Cloud initiative by migrating and managing Oracle Exadata workloads on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Exadata Cloud services. /li liUse Terraform and IaC tools to provision and manage database infrastructure as code across cloud and hybrid environments. /li /ul h3Collaboration and Stakeholder Management /h3 ul liCollaborate with application development, SRE, and infrastructure teams to align database design, performance, and security with business objectives. /li liCommunicate database health, capacity planning, risks, and recommendations clearly to both technical and business stakeholders. /li /ul h3Technical Leadership and Innovation /h3 ul liDeliver innovative solutions and provide expert technical direction on complex Oracle database and Exadata challenges /li /ul h3Who Are We Looking For /h3 ul li10+ years of experience in database administration, with strong expertise in Oracle databases and Oracle Exadata in large-scale, business-critical environments. /li liDeep technical knowledge of Oracle database administration, performance tuning, high availability, backup recovery, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting. /li liHands-on experience with Oracle Exadata, including Exadata-specific features and technologies for optimizing database performance and resilience. Practical experience or strong interest in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Exadata Cloud Services, particularly in the context of cloud migration initiatives. /li liA solid understanding of database security and compliance, ideally including PCI DSS requirements in a payment or similarly regulated environment. /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues and develop sustainable solutions rather than short-term fixes. /li liA senior ownership mentality: you take responsibility for the stability and evolution of the platform, provide technical leadership, and are comfortable driving solutions for complex Oracle and Exadata challenges. /li liFluent communication in English; German is an advantage. /li /ul h3Shape the evolution /h3 pWe are on an exciting journey towards the next frontiers of payments technology, and we look for big thinkers, people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow.
