Whether you've got a few years under your belt or you're ready to take the next step in your career, you'll find plenty of room to grow here. /p h3Day-to-day Responsibilities /h3 ul liBuild and evolve a very large, business-critical platform that merchants worldwide rely on every day. /li liWork in an agile DevOps team that owns features across the full lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation, functional testing, deployment, operation, and support. /li liDevelop robust backend solutions using Java and Spring (Boot) as your daily toolkit. /li liWork with Oracle databases (SQL / PL-SQL) as a core part of our application landscape. /li liOperate in a hybrid infrastructure: a heavily containerized world (think Podman friends) running alongside bare-metal systems. /li liShip with confidence using modern CI/CD (e.g., GitLab CI) and infrastructure automation (e.g., Ansible). /li liLeverage AI smartly and responsibly – we actively encourage using tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to write better code faster, improve quality, and free up time for the problems that really matter. This is something we live, not just talk about. /li liTake part in on-call / stand-by rotation to keep the systems you build healthy and running. /li /ul h3Who Are We Looking For /h3 pWe look for people who want to drive positive changes, step up, and grow – people with passion, a can-do attitude, and a genuine hunger to learn. In practice, this means: /p ul liGenuine passion for software development /li liSome professional experience building software – you don't need to be a senior, but you should be comfortable contributing to real-world systems /li liWorking knowledge of Java and Spring (Boot) (or a strong willingness to grow into it) /li liExperience with database development, ideally Oracle SQL / PL-SQL /li liFamiliarity with containers and an openness to bare-metal environments /li liA smart, curious approach to AI tooling in everyday development /li liPractical experience with version control (Git preferred) /li liBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field – or equivalent practical experience /li liVery good German and English, written and spoken /li liCustomer-oriented, independent, flexible, creative, and a pragmatic team player /li liWillingness and availability for 24/7 on-call duty as a core part of the role /li /ul h3Location Eligibility /h3 pThis position is based in Zurich, Switzerland.
