We, the WSP , are one of the world's leading engineering companies with the business lines of infrastructure, transport, environment, energy and buildings. We have a clear vision of how we want to make the world a better place by giving back to society and supporting what is really important for our future. Imagine a better future for all of us - and a better future for you.
Due to our order situation in the field of logistics construction, WSP DeutschlandGmbH wants to strengthen its staff. We are currently looking for a senior project manager for construction (all gender). We attach great importance to your flexible deployment in exciting Germany-wide projects.
In this role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team and combine classic project management with operational proximity to the construction site. In doing so, you will act as a central interface between all project participants.
As Project Manager, you will play a key role within an international team, coordinating clients, planners, contractors and technology partners to deliver this complex, high-profile project safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
With an investment in the hundreds of millions, cutting-edge robotics and automation, and the challenge of modernising a live logistics operation, this is an opportunity to shape the future of supply chains, drive innovation and deliver a landmark project that sets new standards for the industry.
Your new role, what does it include:
- Independent management and cooperation in building construction projects across all project phases (according to AHO Issue 9)
- Assumption of clearly defined project responsibility in interdisciplinary teams, including development and management of these
- Ensuring cost, deadline and quality targets as well as compliance with VOB and safety standards
- Coordination of all project participants (builders, planners, authorities, companies) and the executing companies
- Close support of the construction work on site, including management of the construction management
- Participation in construction meetings, acceptances and defect management
- Independent implementation of tenders, awards, bid evaluations and support with approvals
Your team and work environment:
Our team in Germany consists of a colourful mix of career starters and experienced project managers in the construction industry.
Keyword team: Teamwork instead of solo show - Due to the large construction volumes that we control, good team cooperation is a basic prerequisite for our success. Following the corporate model, we prefer to be on first-name terms - regardless of whether you are a working student or a department manager.
Is this position right for you?
- Degree in civil engineering, architecture, industrial engineering or similar
- Several years of experience (approx. 5-7+ years) in project management / project control / construction management in building construction
- Sound knowledge: HOAI, AHO, VOB

- Confident handling of common PM tools and MS Office (e.g. cost and schedule controlling)
- Willingness to travel regularly within Germany depending on the project
- Assertiveness, communication skills and entrepreneurial thinking
- Very good knowledge of German and English
What you will like about us:
