Overview Account Manager – Payments / Acquirers – Vienna
Our client is a global payment scheme currently undergoing dynamic growth and seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their collaborative team. As Account Manager you will support the company’s Merchant Network strategy by promoting their card acceptance in target markets and identifying potential partners (Merchants, Banks, Financial Institutions, Schemes) in those markets. You will build and maintain strong working relationships with acquirers, issuers, payment institutions, agents, merchants, terminal vendors and third-party companies to drive business success. As an interface with our clients and partners, the position provides clarification on routine technical issues, introduces new products and features and develops implementation plans with them.
Responsibilities
Assist with the establishment and maintenance of the partnership relationships with acquirers to drive issuing and acceptance activity
Build and maintain relationships with partners including key merchants, and hold regular meetings with them to resolve any outstanding issues
Understand the acquiring market structure in each assigned area and identify the main players
Assist with the creation and the update of a target list of potential Issuing and Acquirer Partners
Participate in follow up meetings with interested potential Issuing and Acquirer partners to discuss business cases
Assist with negotiations on Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) with potential customers and support follow up meetings
Assist with negotiations on Licensee and/or commercial agreements with Partners
Prepare and submit reports on Acquiring activities and results to management
Manage high level technical queries regarding system development and operations from partners
Assist in coordination of implementation projects
Provide induction training and on-going support to Staff to ensure objectives are achieved
Provide administrative support to the business as required to ensure efficient and effective operation of the sales and marketing function
Travel within the target market and overseas
Conduct maintenance activities contacting, visiting and follow up with merchants (F2F and eCommerce)
Support marketing activities. Create and promote marketing material in collaboration with the Marketing team and partners to expand awareness and sales activities
Support the Internal Control activities to comply with the internal control requirements (self-audit and offsite monitoring), keep the relevant documents updated and report as required
Analyze sales activities and market trends to find out acceptance gaps and create business cases
Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of Financial Services and/or Payment Card Industry -experience in Payment Card Industry preferred
Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
Demonstrable passion for sales
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with people
Commercial awareness
Demonstrable creative and innovative ability
Sales analysis capability
Ability to make compelling presentations
Ability to influence and sell ideas to diverse groups (i.e. acquirers, agents and merchants)
Pro-active and reliable
Able to work alone and within a team
Excellent administrative and organizational skills
Business level proficiency in German and English (spoken and written) is required
