Our client is an aerospace organisation that provides non‑destructive testing and quality assurance for aircraft components and structures. They are expanding their NDT team and are looking for an NDT Inspection Engineer to join them.

This is a hands‑on technical role. You’ll carry out and evaluate non‑destructive inspections on aerospace components, from metallic parts to composite structures, making sure everything meets strict aviation standards.

The successful candidate will hold valid EN 4179 / NAS 410 certification and have practical NDT experience in aerospace. They will be confident carrying out inspections independently, assessing material integrity and producing clear technical documentation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Performing non‑destructive inspections using core methods (UT, ET, PT, MT, RT or VT) on aircraft components, assemblies and structures
  • Inspecting metallic and composite parts, including detecting defects such as cracks, corrosion, delamination and disbonds
  • Evaluating results against aerospace standards, OEM specifications and customer requirements
  • Preparing accurate inspection reports and documentation for customers, auditors and regulatory bodies
  • Calibrating, setting up and maintaining NDT equipment in line with quality procedures
  • Working closely with production, maintenance and quality teams to discuss inspection results
  • Supporting internal quality systems and audits (e.g. EASA Part 145/21G, AS9100, Nadcap)
  • Travelling to customer sites, hangars or production facilities when required

What they’re looking for:

  • A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification (e.g. Techniker or master craftsman background)
  • Practical NDT experience in aerospace manufacturing, MRO or a testing laboratory
  • Valid certification according to EN 4179 / NAS 410 (Level 2 or Level 3) in at least one core method; ISO 9712 with a willingness to transfer to EN 4179 may also be considered
  • Experience inspecting aerospace materials such as aluminium, titanium, nickel alloys or composites
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and quality standards (EASA, AS9100, Nadcap)
  • A precise, methodical approach to testing and technical reporting
  • Good German and English (spoken and written)

What’s on offer:

  • Flexible working hours and 30 days’ annual leave
  • Company pension scheme and corporate benefits
  • Support and sponsorship for further NDT certifications and career progression (e.g. Level 3)
  • A long‑term position in the aerospace sector with a stable employer

This role suits an engineer or qualified technician with aerospace NDT certification who wants to work on aircraft components in a structured, quality‑focused environment with clear professional development.
