And right now, they're hiring Engineering Managers to help lead the teams building it.

What's the role?

You'll lead a team of backend and fullstack engineers working on the systems that power real-time AI conversations at scale.

This isn't a coordination role or a ticket-management job — they want EMs who are deeply technical, who understand what their engineers are building, and who can make good decisions under uncertainty.

You'll own team health, delivery, technical direction within your domain, and the growth of the people in your team.

You'll work closely with product, design, and other engineering leaders to shape not just what gets built, but how the team operates.

What they're looking for?

You started as a backend or fullstack engineer — you wrote production code, you understand distributed systems, you know what "good" looks like.

At some point you moved into people leadership and found you were good at it.

You probably have

• 7+ years as a software engineer (backend or fullstack)
• 3+ years leading engineering teams
• Experience shipping in fast-moving product environments
• The kind of technical credibility that means your team trusts your judgment
• Strong communication — you can talk to engineers and to stakeholders without losing something in translation

You don't need to have worked in AI or conversational tech — but you should be excited about it.
