Tax Manager (Automotive), Munich(A186466) in München

As the Germany Tax Manager, support tax planning and tax advisory matters under your responsibility, including but not limited to:

• Develop overall tax planning strategies based on the Company’s business operations, transaction models and other relevant information, and coordinate their implementation.
• Assess tax risks for new business activities or special/non-routine transactions and propose appropriate solutions.
• Address and respond to tax-related questions raised by other departments within the Company, including Business, Legal, Human Resources and IT, etc.
• Monitor and analyze tax risks on a regular or ad hoc basis, and provide early warnings of significant tax risks.
• Work closely with the local finance team to implement tax solutions and support the development of tax-related systems.
• Act as the primary contact with the local tax authorities, responsible for routine communications and responding to tax authority inquiries, and actively support related to tax dispute cases.
• Support Group IFS and other projects from tax perspectives related to the relevant businesses.
• Work with external professional advisors to preform periodic tax health checks.
• Conduct regular self-assessments of significant tax risks.
• Provide tax training to frontline business and finance personnel.

Qualifications

• Strong tax analytical capabilities and the ability to apply and transfer tax knowledge across different business scenarios, with at least five years of professional experience in taxation.
• Candidates with German or broader European tax experience are welcome.
• Proficiency in both German and English, with the ability to use both languages as working languages.
• Detail-oriented and highly responsible, with excellent communication skills and an open attitude toward feedback and suggestions.
• Candidates with tax experience in the German or broader European automotive industry will be preferred.
