Logistics Customs Manager(Switzerland-Based)Job SummaryResponsible for managing logistics operations, customs compliance, import/export procedures, and cross-border movement of goods within the European Union. The role ensures timely delivery, regulatory compliance, cost efficiency, and effective coordination with customs authorities, logistics providers, suppliers, and internal teams.Key Responsibilities1.Logistics Supply ChainManage EU import and export logistics operations and cross-border shipments.Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, and other logistics service providers.Monitor shipment status, customs clearance, delivery schedules, and logistics costs.Identify and resolve logistics, customs clearance, and delivery issues.Drive logistics process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.2.Customs Trade ComplianceOversee customs declarations, import duties, tariffs, VAT, and related documentation.Ensure compliance with EU customs regulations and applicable import/export requirements.Develop and maintain customs procedures, policies, and compliance controls.Maintain accurate customs records and documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.Monitor changes in EU customs legislation and assess their impact on business operations.Work closely with Finance, Tax, Legal, Procurement, Product, and Supply Chain teams on customs and trade compliance matters.3.BTI (Binding Tariff Information) ManagementLead the BTI application process, including preparation, submission, and follow-up with relevant EU customs authorities.Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for BTI applications, including detailed product descriptions, technical specifications, product composition, images, catalogues, and other relevant information.Coordinate with internal Product, Engineering, RD, Tax, and Legal teams to ensure accurate product classification information.Review and validate BTI decisions and tariff classifications and ensure they are correctly implemented in customs declarations and internal systems.Maintain a centralized BTI database/register, including application status, BTI reference numbers, tariff classifications, validity periods, and applicable products.Monitor BTI validity, regulatory changes, product changes, and other circumstances that may affect the continued applicability of existing BTIs.Assess the impact of product modifications, new product launches, changes in manufacturing processes, or changes in customs legislation on existing BTIs.Ensure relevant stakeholders and customs brokers are informed of applicable BTI decisions and classification requirements.Support customs audits, classification reviews, and responses to customs authorities concerning BTI-related matters.Establish governance and controls to ensure consistent application of BTI decisions across EU entities and customs entry points.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Customs, Tax, Business, or a related field.5+ years of experience in logistics, customs, international trade, or supply chain management.Strong knowledge of EU customs regulations, tariff classification, HS/CN codes, and import/export procedures.Hands-on experience with BTI applications and management is strongly preferred.Experience working with customs authorities, customs brokers, and freight forwarders.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills.Proficiency in English; additional European languages are an advantage.Experience with ERP, customs management, or trade compliance systems is preferred.Company AddressXin Point Europe AGc/o Baar Trust GmbHBlegistrasse 11b6340 BaarSwitzerland #J-18808-Ljbffr
