We’re looking for a Firmware Engineer with RISC-V expertise to work on the development of next-generation Electronic Control Units (ECUs) for connected, autonomous, and electric vehicles. Join our client’s team in Stuttgart, the heart of the European automotive industry, and work on cutting-edge real-time automotive firmware, low-power computing, and secure embedded architectures.
In this role, you will develop and optimize firmware for RISC-V-based ECUs, focusing on real-time performance, security, and functional safety (ISO 26262). You’ll work with RTOS, low-power optimization, and OTA updates for EV battery management, powertrain, and ADAS systems, collaborating with hardware teams and OEMs to integrate RISC-V into next-gen vehicle electronics.
What You Bring:
- Strong experience in embedded software development (C/C++).
- Expertise in RISC-V architecture, including toolchains and debugging.
- Experience with RTOS or bare-metal programming.
- Hands-on knowledge of ECU development, CAN/LIN/FlexRay communication, and vehicle diagnostics.
Considered a plus:
- Understanding of functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO 21434) in automotive systems.
- Experience with secure firmware updates, bootloaders, and hardware security modules (HSMs).
