Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced CI Specialist / Continuous Improvement Business Partner (m/f/d) responsible for managing strategies that support Xylem’s Lean transformation. The focus is on enhancing our value proposition to customers and delivering significant financial results.
You will support multiple international sites in fostering cultural lean development, empowerment, and waste elimination through transformations and events.
Locations & Travel
Herford or Ludwigshafen (Germany), Sundbyberg (Sweden), Nanterre (France), Montecchio (Italy). Other European Xylem locations are also options. The role offers a hybrid contract and requires 50%+ travel to cover sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead CI implementation, standardization, and consistency across sites, including training, projects, processes, methods, and tools to eliminate waste and promote flow.
- Deliver training and coaching to teams and colleagues.
- Collaborate with site business leads to support priorities and align CI projects accordingly.
- Identify and communicate operational and strategic improvement areas, sharing best practices.
- Mentor and coach in process mapping, 5S, VSM, etc., with cross-functional teams.
- Analyze KPI trends, identify causes of variances, and report findings.
- Create and finalize standard work documents, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business (Master’s preferred).
- Lean Certification or Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred).
- 5-10 years of industry experience in lean/continuous improvement.
- Expertise in lean business systems, capable of independent work.
- Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement.
- Ability to apply Lean in non-manufacturing environments.
- Financial data management skills, ability to interpret financial reports.
- Strong presentation, project management, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Leadership qualities with initiative and commitment.
- Capability to drive strategic and hands-on projects.
