Project Director Data Center (m/f/d) – Vienna

For an internationally operating engineering and construction company, we are looking for an experienced

Project Director / Team Lead Data Center (m/f/d)

to strengthen and further develop the Mission Critical / Data Center organisation in Vienna. This is a

permanent senior leadership position

for an experienced project professional who has successfully delivered complex Data Center or Mission Critical projects from the

General Contractor / Main Contractor side . The role goes beyond managing an individual project. You will take a key position within the growing Data Center organisation, take responsibility for major project delivery and help

build, structure and lead the project team in Vienna . Your responsibilities

Overall leadership and delivery responsibility for complex Data Center / Mission Critical projects Management of projects across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover Establishing and developing an effective project organisation and leadership structure Building, leading and developing multidisciplinary project teams Responsibility for project performance regarding: cost quality safety contractual obligations client satisfaction Leading senior Project Managers, Construction Managers, MEP Managers and other project functions Coordination of Engineering, MEP, Construction, Commercial, Planning, Quality, Commissioning and HSE disciplines Managing interfaces between client, designers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams Leading senior-level client and stakeholder meetings Identifying project risks at an early stage and implementing appropriate mitigation measures Managing change, variations, claims and commercial risks together with the commercial team Ensuring effective project controls, reporting and forecasting Supporting procurement and subcontractor strategy for technically complex work packages Driving project execution from pre-construction through construction, commissioning and final handover Establishing clear processes, responsibilities and communication structures within the project team Acting as a senior escalation point for technical, commercial and organisational project issues Supporting the continued growth of the Data Center / Mission Critical business Your profile

Several years of senior project leadership experience within large-scale construction, engineering or Mission Critical environments Strong and demonstrable Data Center / Mission Critical project experience Previous experience working for a

General Contractor, Main Contractor, EPC or EPCM organisation Track record as Project Director, Construction Director, Senior Project Manager, MEP Director, Project Lead or comparable senior leadership role Demonstrated experience building, structuring and leading multidisciplinary project teams Experience delivering technically complex projects with significant MEP content Strong understanding of construction, engineering, commissioning and overall project delivery Experience working within large international project organisations Strong commercial and contractual awareness Ability to manage clients, subcontractors and senior internal stakeholders Experience with projects and construction-site structures in Germany and/or the wider DACH region is highly advantageous Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills Very good German and English language skills Willingness to be regularly present in Vienna and, depending on project requirements, at Data Center sites Particularly relevant backgrounds
