• Key Responsibilities (working on site, remote working is not acceptable)
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, and other period-end adjustments.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in accordance with German GAAP (HGB).
• Prepare statutory annual financial statements under HGB, including the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and supporting disclosures.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and perform regular account reconciliations.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
• Ensure accurate accounting for accruals, provisions, deferred income, and prepaid expenses.
• Perform bank, cash, and intercompany account reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with external auditors during statutory and group audits by preparing audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to audit inquiries.
• Coordinate with tax advisors and internal stakeholders to support VAT returns, corporate income tax filings, and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Support transfer pricing compliance by monitoring intercompany transactions, preparing supporting documentation and reconciliations, coordinating with tax advisors and Group Finance, and ensuring accounting treatment is consistent with the Group's transfer pricing policies and local statutory requirements.
• Participate in finance projects, e. g. ERP system enhancements, digitalization initiatives and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Several years of experience in General Ledger Accounting or Financial Accounting (Bilanzbuchhalter).
• Solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB).
• Experience in preparing statutory annual financial statements under HGB.
• Experience supporting external audits and working with tax advisors.
• Basic knowledge of transfer pricing principles and intercompany accounting; experience supporting transfer pricing compliance in a multinational environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
• Good communication skills in both German and English.
