Youth of European Nationalities (YEN) is looking for an Intern with a focus on communications, Newsletter and social media for the YEN office in Berlin.

The Youth of European Nationalities (YEN) is the largest network of youth organisations of autochthonous, national, and linguistic minorities in Europe. Under the slogan "Minority Rights are Human Rights," YEN represents the interests of young members of national, ethnic, and linguistic minorities, currently 42 member organisations from 18 countries.

Internship duration: 3 months

Start: as soon as possible, ideally before or on 1 September 2026

Location: Berlin-Mitte, Germany or fully online

Tasks

Description

  • Supporting YEN's day-to-day social media presence: planning, creating, and posting content across channels;
  • Supporting the design of visibility material for events, calls, and campaigns;
  • Helping produce visual and video content documenting YEN's activities;
  • Supporting the preparation and sending of YEN's newsletter;
  • Working closely with the Convenor for Communication and the Secretary General on day-to-day communication tasks.

Requirements

Preferred qualifications of the applicant

  • Good knowledge of English; German or additional languages are an advantage;
  • Experience or strong interest in social media content creation, graphic design, Newsletter services;
  • Familiarity with common design or web tools (e.g. Canva, WordPress, Mailerlite or similar) is an advantage;
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently on assigned tasks;
  • Interest in youth work, civil society, or minority rights is an advantage;
  • Fluent in English (required for day-to-day communication tasks).
