Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an HFO Engine Commissioning Engineer at ZA Energy Systems (Pvt) Limited. The role involves planning, executing, and supervising commissioning activities for HFO engine power plants, from pre-commissioning checks to performance testing and final handover. Daily tasks include reviewing technical documentation, preparing commissioning procedures, configuring and calibrating instrumentation and control systems, and coordinating with project teams, clients, and vendors to resolve technical issues. The engineer will monitor engine performance, diagnose faults, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. The role also includes preparing commissioning reports, maintaining documentation, supporting training for client operation teams, and providing remote technical support during operation and maintenance phases.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong technical skills in HFO engines, power generation systems, and related mechanical and electrical components.
• Candidates should possess skills in commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of engine-based power plants.
• Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, control logic diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Candidates should possess skills in instrumentation and control systems, including configuration, calibration, and system integration.
• Candidates should possess skills in project coordination, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Relevant engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering) or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience in HFO engine commissioning or similar engine-based power projects is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of industry safety standards, quality procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work independently in remote settings, collaborate with international teams, and travel to project sites when required.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and proficiency with standard engineering and office software tools.
