The People Tech team provides a strategic technical vision that enables Zalando and P&O strategy. The team leads the execution and support of key people systems with Workday as our main Platform. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workday Specialist/Junior Inhouse Tech Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for end-users and stakeholders and support the team with the hands-on administration of various modules within the Workday platform. Your skills in stakeholder management and your expertise in Workday’s functionality and processes will be crucial in ensuring the system meets the needs of our organization and supports our stakeholder departments effectively.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
- Handle and resolve Workday-related incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution of tickets and issues.
- Work closely with HR, stakeholders, and end-users to understand and analyze issues, providing hands-on support to resolve tickets and find efficient solutions.
- Assist the team in configuring and supporting various Workday modules, including Human Capital Management (HCM), Compensation, Time & Absence, Benefits, Payroll, and others. Tasks may include EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder) or smaller configuration updates.
- Identify and address data inconsistencies or configuration issues, helping ensure the Workday system operates smoothly and remains aligned with best practices.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for end-users, addressing technical challenges, and improving Workday proficiency across the organization.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Workday releases, features, and industry trends, and proactively suggest improvements or optimizations to enhance the system’s performance.
- Assist in system upgrades, implementations, and integrations, working collaboratively with IT teams and external consultants as necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- A good understanding of Workday or HR technology platforms (internships or prior experience with Workday tickets or configuration tasks is a plus).
- An eagerness to learn and grow your technical skills in Workday and HRIS solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and provide practical solutions for P&O or end-user needs.
- A customer-service mindset, with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Some familiarity with Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, etc.), or a willingness to learn and develop expertise.
- A proactive attitude towards staying updated on system changes, releases, and best practices.
- Knowledge of Workday tools and practices such as EIBs, report writing or security role assignment is a bonus.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
