Safety is our highest priority. As a Safety Specialist (HSE Specialist), you will be directly involved in our international projects at construction sites across Europe, with a primary focus on Germany. In this responsible role, you will actively shape the safety culture on site and support managers and project teams in implementing our HSE standards.

• Monitor and actively contribute to the implementation of HSE requirements (Health, Safety, and Environment) and agreed HSE objectives across our construction sites and projects
• Initiate, coordinate, and follow up on corrective actions in cases of non-compliance with HSE requirements, as well as provide support in emergency and escalation situations
• Develop and continuously improve HSE system documentation and work procedures, particularly by preparing project-specific HSE management plans for large-scale construction projects
• Advise and support managers on all matters related to health, occupational safety, and environmental protection
• Support and advise internal and external stakeholders on HSE-related topics
• Manage and implement customer-specific HSE requirements and support conflict resolution when necessary
• Prepare, analyze, and report HSE key performance indicators (KPIs), statistics, and evaluations
• Identify opportunities for improvement and develop sustainable optimization measures
• Design and prepare training and instructional materials
• Conduct HSE training sessions, safety inductions, and information events
• Completed training/certification as a Safety Specialist in accordance with the Austrian Safety Specialist Regulation (SFK-VO)
• Qualification as a Safety Specialist in accordance with the German Law ("Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit" (Sifa)) in Germany is desirable, but not mandatory
• Several years of professional experience (minimum 5 years) in the HSE field, preferably on large-scale construction sites or international projects
• In-depth knowledge of current HSE management systems, standards, and best practices, as well as practical experience in applying HSE methods and tools
• Experience as an internal auditor and trainer for HSE training and safety instruction programs
• Strong communication, consulting, and reporting skills
• Experience in creating, analyzing, and evaluating HSE KPIs and statistics
• Very good written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel extensively for international project assignments, including direct deployment at construction sites
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working

Compensation

Please note that the collective agreement minimum salary under the attractive Austrian Metal Industry Collective Agreement amounts to € 3.109,21 gross per month. The actual salary will be determined based on your qualifications and professional experience and typically ranges between € 3.500 and € 4.500 gross per month. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will receive an attractive expatriate compensation package with additional financial and material benefits for your international assignment.
