With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, more powerful and more energy-efficient microchips – and, through its innovations, plays a key role in shaping the age of micro- and nanoelectronics.Become part of our Automation & Engineering Solutions team at our Aachen site , which focuses on the development and implementation of complex production and test systems for optical systems.The Automation & Engineering Solutions department covers all aspects of a holistic development approach: from requirements engineering, electrical and mechanical design, software automation and assembly through to commissioning at our production sites and integration with higher-level MES systems.Your RoleAs part of our implementation team, you will play an important role in the manufacturing, assembly, testing and commissioning of high-quality components and machines. With your technical understanding, hands-on skills and strong commitment to quality, you will ensure that our assemblies and components are manufactured and assembled precisely, reliably and on schedule.Your ResponsibilitiesAssemble components and assemblies based on technical drawings, bills of materials and assembly documentationManufacture parts according to technical drawings and specificationsCarry out modifications and rework on componentsInstall and align mechanical and pneumatic components and perform precise adjustments and fine-tuningPerform functional tests and quality inspections and support commissioning activitiesIdentify, analyze and document assembly deviations, functional defects and basic faultsWork closely with related departments such as Mechanical Design, Electrical Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production and Project ManagementContribute your experience to continuously improve assembly and manufacturing processesYour ProfileCompleted vocational training as an industrial mechanic, plant mechanic, mechatronics technician or a comparable qualificationInitial experience in machine or assembly installation is an advantageConfident in working with technical drawings and assembly documentationExperience in machining processes (e.g. turning, milling)Good knowledge of mechanics and mechanical engineeringStrong practical skills and technical understandingAn independent, careful and solution-oriented approach to workStrong teamwork skills and a high sense of responsibilityWillingness to travel to customer sites within Germany (approx. 10–20%)Your ZEISS Recruiting Team:Jonas Weickenmeier #J-18808-Ljbffr
