In doing so, you will help create the conditions required to manufacture new optical products reliably and consistently.Your RoleDevelop and design mechanical and mechatronic production equipment for manufacturing, machining, coating, cleaning and handling optical componentsDesign clamping fixtures, transport and handling solutions, as well as components for the precise positioning and covering of opticsGradually take technical responsibility for development work packages, from requirements management through to handover to manufacturingDevelop concepts, technical specifications and requirements documents for new manufacturing processes and complete production equipment setsOptimise and modify existing production equipment in response to new process and product requirementsEvaluate technical solutions in terms of functionality, quality, cost and feasibilityManage and coordinate external development partners and suppliers throughout the development processWork closely with Manufacturing, Process Development, Procurement and conformity-related functionsYour ProfileBachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable fieldSeveral years of experience in developing and designing equipment, production equipment or automation solutionsSeveral years of practical experience with a 3D CAD system, preferably CreoSeveral years of experience with an ERP or PLM system, preferably SAPKnowledge of manufacturing and materials engineering, along with experience working with suppliersGerman language skills at C1 level and English language skills at a minimum of B2 levelYour ZEISS Recruiting Team:Katharina Eymann #J-18808-Ljbffr
