About Us
In the SMT-QOD area, we work as a team of 11 Quality Engineers and Quality Managers.
We are responsible for quality management in operations and development, as well as sustainment activities, and we act as the first point of contact for quality topics within the SMO division.
Through targeted reporting and steering meetings with manufacturing, development, and our customer, we stabilize and improve quality and reduce Co PQ (Cost of Poor Quality).
Role
As a scientist or engineer, you take on the role of Quality Officer for complex lithography‑optics products in the development, industrialization, and sustaining phases.

Your role
- Point of contact for all quality-related questions in the manufacturing area.
- Develop concepts and measures to improve internal and customer quality, reduce the cost of poor quality, and ensure defined quality standards; coordinate with functional areas, monitor and drive actions, and work closely with process engineers, Industrial Excellence staff, operational personnel, and manufacturing leadership.
- Assess the effectiveness of implemented concepts and measures and initiate corrective actions if needed.
- Train employees on quality requirements and quality methods; ensure competence development.
- Clarify and approve (or document) special approvals and internal tolerances.
- Support serial handovers and ramp‑up of products by implementing quality management processes; approve specification documents.
- Conduct audits and assessments and drive derived improvements.
- Analyze, process, and report quality performance data and provide it as a basis for decision‑making; document and approve requirements.
- Ihr profile
- Completed university degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, photonics, or industrial engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the field or quality environment.
- Solid expertise in quality methods (ISO 9001, 8D, Six Sigma, Lean) with proven implementation experience.
- Ideally an auditor qualification; willingness to further develop audit competencies.
- Strong analytical thinking, structured approach, and high organizational skills; able to handle complex issues under pressure.
- Team player who can optimize processes, take responsibility, and drive change; assertive with customers and internal stakeholders, proactive and solution‑oriented.
- Excellent German language skills (C1) and fluent English (C1) in speaking and writing; ready for international collaboration.
