Senior ML Engineer (Technical Lead)

As an early hire, you get to define the technical approach at the center of it all. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliModel Architecture: Design and implement high-performance, low-latency ML models for fare and itinerary estimation. /liliData Engineering: Build and maintain robust data pipelines to process massive volumes of historical fare and schedule data. /liliIntelligent Routing: Develop confidence scoring systems to intelligently route traffic between ML models and current legacy stacks. /liliDomain leadership: develop core domain expertise in the field of using ML for fare and itinerary prediction. /liliTechnical Leadership: hire, lead and mentor other engineers as the team grows. /liliStrategic Collaboration: Partner alongside the founders with key organizations in the industry in developing the core Zerolook offering. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliEducation: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field. /liliBroad ML Knowledge: familiarity with the breadth of ML approaches and their relative strengths and weaknesses. /liliProduction ML Expertise: 4+ years in designing, training, and deploying ML models in production environments. /liliEngineering Foundation: Strong software engineering skills with experience building robust, automated data pipelines. /liliStartup DNA: Comfortable with the "0 to 1" phase-ambiguity, fast iteration, and taking extreme ownership. /li /ulh3Bonus Requirements /h3ulliTravel Tech: Previous experience with OTAs, metasearch, or GDS/NDC integration is a significant plus. /liliLarge scale applications: experience building applications serving over 10K QPS at latencies on the order of 1 sec. /liliEducation: Ph.D. in Computer Science and/or educational concentration in Data Science /li /ulh3About Zerolook /h3pZerolook is scaling flight distribution infrastructure for the AI era. Today’s high-funnel metasearch and emerging agentic AI traffic create massive query volumes that are economically impossible to serve using conventional GDS and NDC systems. /ppWe are building a machine learning-powered engine to estimate prices with millisecond latency, bypassing the need for costly live lookups on every search.
