Product Design Lead

Product Design Lead – AI SaaS – €120k–€140k – Munich, Germany

We\’re partnering with a fast-growing AI-native SaaS scale-up (~100 people), Series B backed by Sequoia Capital, with strong product-market fit and now scaling internationally.

This is a hands-on player/coach Product Design Lead role with a clear path to Head of Product Design. You\’ll lead and mentor two designers while staying close to the product yourself, setting the craft bar as the team grows.

You\’ll work on next-generation agent-led procurement workflows – designing how humans supervise, guide, and collaborate with AI systems across complex, data-rich environments.

What you\’ll do

• Lead and mentor a small team as a player/coach, setting a high bar for craft and pace while still designing yourself
• Set the team up to work AI-native — picking the right tools (Figma Make, v0, Cursor, Claude, Loveable), building the workflows around them, and making AI fluency table stakes for everyone you hire
• Design how users interact with AI agents – supervision, control, and trust
• Establish patterns for agent-led workflows (not dashboards)
• Evolve the design system for fast, AI-assisted development

What we\’re looking for

• Lead-level designer with 2+ years of people management or formal mentoring/coaching experience
• Hands-on builder – comfortable shipping work yourself, not just reviewing it
• AI-native operator who\’s already designing with agentic and generative tools day-to-day
• Strong background in complex SaaS workflows
• Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving systems
• Clear product thinking and strong UX judgment

Remote/Hybrid setup – 2 days a week in Munich (first-class return travel and one night of accommodation covered).
