Enterprise Architect for a complex carve-out and New-Co setup

For aninternational carve-out in which an entire European region is being separatedfrom a globally operating company, we are looking for an experienced EnterpriseIT Architect.

Theorganisation is undergoing a major transformation: a standalone New-Co isbeing established that must be able to operate independently following thecarve-out. As Enterprise IT Architect, you will be part of the transformationteam and will be responsible for designing the end-to-end IT architecturefor the New-Co.

You willoperate at the intersection of business, IT, security, data, infrastructure andapplication domains. You will translate the future operating model of theNew-Co into a coherent, scalable and manageable IT landscape.

YourAssignment

You willdesign the Target Enterprise Architecture for the New-Co and determinewhich IT capabilities, applications, infrastructure, data and integrationservices are required to enable the new organisation to operate independently.

This includes determining:

• which components of theexisting Global IT landscape can or should be separated;
  
• which services will temporarilycontinue to be provided by the existing organisation;
  
• which services need to becovered through Transition Service Agreements (TSAs);
  
• which IT components need to benewly established;
  
• which applications need to bereplaced, migrated, replicated or reimplemented;
  
• how data, interfaces andintegrations will be separated from the Global Co;
  
• how identity, security,networking, workplace, cloud and infrastructure services will beestablished for the New-Co;
  
• which architecture is requiredfor Day 1 and which components can be further developed afterwards.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design the end-to-endEnterprise Architecture for the New-Co.
  
• Define the current-state,carve-out architecture and Target Architecture.
  
• Establish architectureprinciples, standards and design decisions.
  
• Ensure alignment betweenbusiness, information, application, data, integration and technologyarchitecture.
  

Carve-out & Transition

• Translate the carve-out scopeinto a concrete IT architecture.
  
• Identify dependencies with theGlobal Co.
  
• Support the definition of TSAsand the corresponding exit strategy.
  
• Design the transition from thecurrent environment towards a fully independent New-Co.
  
• Identify critical Day-1requirements, dependencies and risks.
  
• Develop a phased architectureand transition roadmap.

You will beable to translate complex architecture topics into clear choices,consequences, dependencies and decision points for management.

• beoperational on Day 1;

• have a scalable IT architecturesupporting the future European organisation.
  

We arelooking for an experienced Enterprise Architect with a proven track record in complexinternational IT transformations, carve-outs, separations, M&A or theestablishment of standalone organisations.

You bring:

• 10+ years of experience inEnterprise / IT Architecture;
  
• experience with complexinternational IT landscapes;
  
• demonstrable experience withcarve-outs, separations or New-Co setups;
  
• experience designing TargetOperating Models and Target Architectures;
  
• broad knowledge ofinfrastructure, cloud, security, applications, data and integration;
  
• experience with ERP/CRM andbusiness-critical enterprise applications;
  
• knowledge of IT sourcing, SaaSand managed services;
  
• experience with TSAs andtransition/exit planning is a strong advantage;
  
• experience with Day-1 readinessand transitional architectures;
  
• excellent communication skillsat both management and technical levels.
  

PersonalProfile

The rightperson is not an architect who only produces models and architecture diagrams.You are hands-on, analytical and decisive, and are able to independentlyprovide direction in a complex architecture environment.

You arecomfortable working with incomplete information, conflicting interests and thetime pressure typically associated with a carve-out.
