The role

We are looking for a quantitative-minded professional(f/m/x) to join our product team and take ownership of the calculations thatpower the CEPRES platform. This is a role with real breadth: you will spendyour early months building a solid foundation by completing the documentationof the existing calculation library before moving into the more dynamic side ofthe job, which involves scoping and prototyping new calculations in closecollaboration with product, engineering, and clients.

The role has a clear growth trajectory. As thecalculations library matures and client demand grows, you will take on aproduct ownership function, becoming the go-to person for everything related toCEPRES calculations. In time, you will manage a dedicated development team thatimplements bespoke calculation work for clients. If bandwidth allows, you willalso contribute to our Predictive project — a multi-asset forecastinginitiative that sits at the frontier of private markets analytics.

In this role, you will :

  • Documentation (near-termpriority): Audit and document all existing run-time calculations on the CEPRESplatform. Establish clear, consistent documentation standards so that everycurrent and future calculation is fully described, reproducible, and auditable.
  • New calculation development:Work with the product team to scope, define, and prototype new calculations.Translate business and client requirements into precise mathematicalspecifications ready for engineering implementation.
  • Client-facing collaboration:Act as a technical point of contact for client queries related to calculations.Explain complex quantitative concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Predictive projectcontribution: When the documentation backlog is clear and no new calculationsrequests are pending, contribute to the multi-asset forecasting (Predictive) work stream.
  • Team leadership (futurestate): As the role grows, build and manage a small development teamresponsible for delivering calculation implementations for clients.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in FinancialMathematics, Business Mathematics, Physics, Industrial Engineering or similar
  • High affinity for mathematics(statistics, Monte Carlo simulation, financial mathematics, numericaloptimizations)
  • First practical experience inthe areas of investment banking/financial analysis/ private equity is a plus
  • Strong knowledge ofquantitative models in finance
  • Strong knowledge of Pythonfor quantitative research and data processing
  • Independent mind withcritical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and writtencommunications skills in English; German is a plus, but not a must.
  • Ability to work autonomously,proactively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Maturity, empathy, tact anddiscretion regarding handling confidential/sensitive information
  • Great attention to detail
