Overview
In this role you will ensure production uptime and service levels for Oracle Cloud environments across OCI and ERP systems. You’ll drive stability, performance, backup, recovery, and security, including orchestrating upgrade cycles. You will partner with Infrastructure, Security, and IT teams, and with multiple application teams across geographies to support critical patient-care technology. This is a remote-friendly position within Europe, offering impact at scale in a healthcare-focused tech environment. You will shape cloud architecture and DR capabilities to minimize downtime and support ongoing clinical and operational needs.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Manage and maintain OCI platform, with ongoing integrations and configurations for a stable cloud environment
- Uphold standard architecture and best practices across the cloud
- Optimize database resources and ensure performance across multiple environments
- Ensure availability and performance for large data workloads
- Support storage, security, networking, and related infrastructure components
- Plan and respond to outages with backup and recovery activities
- Monitor system performance and diagnose issues to resolution
- Conduct periodic health checks and recommend performance improvements
- Perform routine DBA activities: maintenance, backups, recovery, upgrades, performance monitoring
- Execute SaaS/OCI cloning activities and manage database configuration and tuning
- Support access controls, audits, and version control; monitor memory, parameters, and I/O
- Maintain ERP system administration and patch management; support migrations and integrations
- Support application issues, user management, embedded SQL, workflows, and concurrent requests
- Assist Oracle Cloud developers with coding, migrations, and workflows
- Collaborate on security, governance, and data integrity; implement patch management
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 5+ years of experience as an Oracle Cloud Engineer managing OCI platforms
- Experience executing Oracle Cloud upgrade cycles and reducing cutover downtime
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud OCI architecture, concurrent managers, workflows, and infrastructure
- Expertise in cloning, patching, backup and recovery of ERP applications
- Experience with ODI, FAW/ADW, performance tuning, and SQL profiling
- Hands-on backup management and disaster recovery design
- Oracle Cloud ERP system administration knowledge
- Unix shell scripting in ODA and OVM environments
- Ability to work across multiple teams, geographies, and time zones
