The role combines investment analysis, quantitative expertise and an understanding of insurance liabilities, supporting both the management of existing balance sheets and growth ambitions. /p h3What You Will Do /h3 ulliReview asset and liability risk exposures and assess their implications for investment and ALM strategy /liliDevelop ALM and investment strategies reflecting liability characteristics, market conditions, expected returns, capital, liquidity and other relevant constraints /liliProvide the investment and ALM perspective on new Life products, transactions and other growth initiatives /liliDesign and assess investment and hedging solutions using different asset classes and derivative instruments /liliEvaluate portfolio positioning, asset allocation alternatives and the effectiveness of proposed hedging strategies /liliUnderstand and critically assess the methodologies, assumptions and limitations underlying actuarial and risk model outputs /liliPerform targeted quantitative analysis and sensitivity testing to support recommendations /liliWork with Group and Local Investment Management, Actuarial, Finance and Risk teams to support effective ALM decision-making /liliPresent clear, well-documented recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance bodies /liliWork location is Zürich. /li /ul h3What You Bring /h3 ulliMaster's degree or equivalent in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Finance or another quantitative discipline /liliA recognized actuarial qualification, CFA or FRM qualification is beneficial, as is knowledge of programming languages /liliAt least 10 years of relevant experience in ALM, Investment Management, actuarial, Life insurance, insurance risk or capital management roles /liliStrong understanding of financial markets, asset classes and investment strategies, including fixed income and derivative instruments /liliExperience assessing asset allocation and hedging strategies in the context of liability profiles, risk appetite, capital and liquidity constraints /liliStrong understanding of insurance liabilities and their behaviour under different economic conditions, particularly for Life insurance products /liliAbility to translate liability exposures and quantitative analysis into practical investment and hedging recommendations /liliStrong knowledge of insurance solvency and regulatory capital frameworks, such as SST or Solvency II /liliAbility to understand and constructively challenge model methodologies, assumptions and limitations /liliStrong analytical judgement and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders /li /ul h3You belong here. /h3 pImagine working in one of the world's most sustainable workplaces.
