Physical Security Consultant (OT)

I’m working with an established engineering and technology consultancy that supports major organisations across highly regulated and security-critical environments.

They are looking for a Physical Security Consultant to assess and improve the physical security of sites, buildings and facilities, combining hands‑on security assessments with recognised information security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical security assessments across sites and buildings, identifying potential threats, vulnerabilities and risks.
• Develop tailored physical security concepts, controls and procedures.
• Support the protection of buildings, facilities and physical perimeters.
• Assess existing security measures and recommend improvements.
• Respond to physical security incidents and support appropriate remediation.
• Work closely with customers, internal project teams and external stakeholders.
• Support security activities in line with standards such as ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz.

Required

• 2–3+ years of professional experience within Physical Security, Security Consulting or a comparable environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and/or BSI IT-Grundschutz.
• Experience conducting security assessments and identifying physical risks and vulnerabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Very good German language skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites within Germany.
