Research Associate / PhD Student / Postdoc (m/f/x)
Designation: Research Associate / PhD Student / Postdoc
Research Area: Theoretical Chemistry – Materials Design
- University degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in chemistry, physics, or theoretical/computational materials science. A PhD degree is applicable for Postdoc position.
- Profound knowledge in computational and theoretical physics/chemistry.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including collaboration with experimental partners.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming (C++, Python).
- Skills in machine learning, high-performance computing, solid-state physics/chemistry, materials thermodynamics, 2D compounds, and density-functional theory (e.g., VASP, Quantum Espresso) are advantageous.
Job Description:
- Develop and employ density-functional based and data-driven methods for designing novel ionic high-entropy and two-dimensional compounds.
- Utilize machine learning techniques for thermodynamic and electronic analysis.
- Collaborate closely with local and international partners, fostering scientific communication and networking.
- Contribute to the advancement of materials design methodologies and their application in cutting-edge research projects.
