Marketing Intern

Your responsibilities

The Intern will work alongside Marketing Manager as well as the Sales & Marketing Administrator who will provide the relevant mentoring. The main objectives of the role will include:

• Shadowing members of the Marketing department as they perform their duties.
• Assist with implementation and managing of marketing campaigns that promote the products and services of a company & be actively involved in setting up & preparation for exhibitions in all relevant industry forums
• Assist marketing team with daily administrative duties.
• Effectively Manage Marketing emails – Respond to queries or direct to relevant person responsible for the query.
• Monitor Competitor activity. Including Trade / Online activities and present to marketing team monthly
• Coordinating with internal teams to create advertising posts (e.g., for events, open roles, and product releases
• In collaboration with Marketing administrator, brief sponsorship events, setup and provide report and recommendations from the event.
• Flexibility and a can-do approach to tasks and the ability to adapt to a changing and challenging environment.
• Ultimately, you will ensure we maintain a strong online voice and brand consistency as per Sysmex EMEA marketing & Marcom guidelines, to support our strategic marketing objectives

Your profile

• ESSENTIAL-Graduate Qualification in Marketing Management or related qualification
• The candidate must be based in or around Johannesburg area.
• Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a passion for marketing.
• Outstanding multitasking abilities.
• Fervent desire to learn along with professional drive.
