Role Overview

Optimus Search has partnered with a leading financial services firm based in Zürich. As a Data Science Team Lead , you will be responsible for guiding a small team to drive forward innovative approaches in analytics.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless cross-functional integration
2. Lead a small team, overseeing both technical and personnel aspects in data science
3. Strengthen the firm\’s data science capabilities by establishing best practices and evolving the discipline
4. Serve as a coach and mentor for junior Data Scientists within the team
5. Coordinate with internal stakeholders in IT architecture, cybersecurity, and related areas to optimize data science support technology
6. Maintain active dialogue with internal and external partners to identify trends and innovations, translating them into actionable insights

Requirements

1. Degree (Uni/FH) in computer science or IT
2. Over 3 years of experience in a similar data science role
3. Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in Azure and Power BI
4. Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design
5. Theoretical problem-solving approach, with a hands-on attitude
6. Strong communication skills with stakeholders
7. Leadership and mentorship experience
8. Native or C2 German skills, fluent in English; additional languages like French are a plus
