Solution Engineer | Public Sector DACH | AI & Data Analytics | €120k-€130k + 30% bonus
I’m partnered with a high-growth, well-funded AI and data analytics scale-up to hire a Solution Engineer for their DACH Public Sector business. The business has close to 1000 employees, and are transforming the data architecture for public sector businesses, enabling AI transformation.

- An established enterprise data platform used by government agencies and some of the world’s largest financial institutions
- European business that can trade on tech and data sovereignty
- It connects fragmented data into a single, trusted view, then applies advanced analytics and AI so customers can spot risk and make better decisions
- They’re growing quickly across Europe, and Public Sector is a key focus
Why this role is interesting
- You’ll work on high-impact problems: tax fraud and evasion, benefits fraud, customs and border risk, and intelligence investigations
- You’ll own the technical side of the sales cycle: discovery, solution design, tailored demos, RFPs, and the design and delivery of PoCs and trials
- Pre-sales and post-sales are coming together, so you’ll stay involved after signature to drive adoption, value and expansion, rather than handing over and moving on
- You’ll help shape how the team evolves as it grows in DACH
- You’ll work closely with a strong ecosystem of systems integrators and cloud partners on large public sector programmes
What they’re looking for
- Experience in Solution Engineering, Pre-Sales, Technical Sales or Value Consulting with DACH public sector clients
- Domain experience in areas such as intelligence, data management, tax, fraud, or customs and borders
- A track record of leading substantial proving engagements, such as PoCs, pilots or early implementations
- Strong technical depth in data and analytics. Experience with modern data platforms, distributed processing or graph technologies is a plus
- The ability to translate complex technology into clear business outcomes for audiences from end users to senior officials
- Fluent German and English, and eligible for German security clearance
