Your Responsibilities

  • Configure, administer, and continuously optimize JIRA and Confluence to ensure structured workflows, clear ownership, and transparent cross-functional communication
  • Define, implement, and enforce documentation governance processes to ensure correctness, completeness, and traceability
  • Own and manage all product documentation, including:
    • Hardware manuals
    • Operating manuals
    • Installation & quick-start guides
    • Datasheets, specifications, and technical reports
    • Prototype and product lifecycle documentation
  • Define and implement documentation strategy, standards, and best practices across products for scalable and structured documentation
  • Ensure all documentation complies with applicable DIN, ISO, and international standards
  • Apply principles of IEC/IEEE 82079-1 for the preparation of instructions for use
  • Develop and review safety-related content, including:
    • Safety instructions and hazard warnings
    • Risk communication and mitigation measures
    • Proper structuring and categorization of safety notes (e.g., danger, warning, caution)
  • Support product certification processes by ensuring documentation meets regulatory and legal requirements
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to align documentation with CE marking and safety compliance standards
  • Act as the central interface between engineering, product management, and end users
  • Establish validation and review processes with subject matter experts
  • Ensure documentation supports excellent customer and developer experience
  • Structure content to serve different audiences:
    • End users (operators, technicians)
    • Developers (APIs, SDKs, integrations)
    • Deliver documentation that enables users to fully utilize product capabilities
  • Manage the full documentation lifecycle:
    • Information gathering
    • Planning and structuring
    • Content creation
    • Review and validation
    • Publication and maintenance
  • Maintain versioning aligned with product releases (hardware & software)
  • Ensure continuous updates across product lifecycle stages
  • Define and manage documentation tooling and platforms (e.g., docs portals, APIs, CMS, static site generators)
  • Support multi-format documentation delivery:
    • Manuals, portals, developer docs, documentation websites
  • Manage documentation translation and localization processes

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Technical Documentation, Quality Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in document management and/or process management within a production environment for mechatronic systems
  • Proven experience configuring and administering JIRA and Confluence (workflows, templates, permissions, dashboards, automation rules)
  • Proven experience in technical documentation or technical communication, ideally in robotics, hardware-software systems, or industrial products
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Product documentation types across the lifecycle
    • Information architecture and structured content
    • Documentation workflows and processes
  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments
  • Ability to understand complex technical systems and translate them into clear documentation
  • Knowledge of documentation tools (any modern stack is acceptable)
  • Strong experience defining and enforcing structured documentation and issue management processes
  • Strong understanding of change management, version control, release procedures, and traceability in hardware/software environments
  • Experience working at the interface between R&D and production/manufacturing
  • Experience managing SOP releases and ensuring production documentation readiness
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking with high attention to detail
  • Strong visual communication skills and ability to translate complex technical topics into clear documentation and presentations
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with professional design sense for executive communication
  • Experience in production environments for mechatronic or electromechanical systems
  • Fluency in Chinese and English (spoken and written)

  • Experience with documentation platforms (e.g., Docusaurus, Backstage, static site generators)
