Senior Legal Counsel (M / F)

The Senior Legal Counsel will support the Head of Legal of BIL Manage Invest, advise BIL Manage Invest on Legal & Regulatory fund issues, and help BIL Manage Invest clients to define the optimal fund structuring solutions.

The Senior Legal Counsel of BIL Manage Invest will:

1. Monitor all legal and regulatory changes
2. Draft and/or review legal documentation such as prospectuses, constitutional documents, and contractual documentation, resolutions
3. Set up new investment vehicles and restructure existing vehicles by way of mergers or liquidation
4. Submit files and liaise with the regulator
5. Negotiate agreements on behalf of the investment vehicles
6. Provide legal support to internal departments
7. Register and maintain the registration of the investment vehicles in various distribution countries
8. Manage the library of legal documents and templates
9. Support the Corporate Secretary Function

Minimum qualifications include:

1. University degree in Law
2. Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
3. Good knowledge of Corporate Law and investment vehicles (UCITS, AIFs, SICAV, FCP…)
4. Fluent in both English and French
5. Ability to work under time pressure and well organized
6. Able to work both independently and as part of a team
7. Entrepreneurial mindset with a solution-based attitude to work is a must
