modern AI development tools to accelerate implementation.You remain technically accountable for the result: reviewing generated code, challenging architectural decisions, testing assumptions and ensuring that what we ship is secure, maintainable and scalable.By reducing the time spent on repetitive implementation work, we want our engineers to spend more time on the areas where human judgement creates the greatest impact: product thinking, architecture, problem solving, quality and innovation.Your ResponsibilitiesUse AI as an integral part of your daily engineering workflow — from exploration and solution design to implementation, testing, documentation and optimisationOrchestrate AI development tools by providing the right context, requirements, constraints and technical directionReview, challenge and improve AI-generated code rather than treating generated output as a finished solutionBuild effective workflows in which engineers and AI agents collaborate efficiently across the software development lifecycleContinuously experiment with new AI capabilities and help evolve our internal AI-first engineering practicesTurn business and product requirements into pragmatic, scalable and maintainable technical solutionsDesign services, APIs, integrations, data models and system interactions across our technology landscapeThink beyond individual tickets and understand how changes affect the wider product and architectureMake conscious architectural decisions and evaluate trade-offs between speed, complexity, scalability and maintainabilityTake technical ownership of solutions from initial idea through implementation and productionBuild and evolve our commerce platforms and internal systems based on Symfony, Sylius and modern API architecturesDesign and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs used by our frontends, partners and internal servicesExtend Sylius through custom resources, plugins, events and business-specific workflowsWork with technologies including Doctrine ORM, Symfony Messenger, RabbitMQ, Redis, MySQL/PostgreSQL and API PlatformContrbute hands-on on frontend initiatives working with React and Next.jsStep into development whenever complexity, debugging or critical engineering decisions require itEngineering Quality & Technical OwnershipTake responsibility for the technical quality of solutions regardless of whether code was written manually or generated with AIReview implementations critically for architecture, maintainability, performance, security and correctnessEnsure appropriate automated testing and validation are part of the engineering processInvestigate complex technical problems and production issues where deeper engineering expertise is requiredImprove observability, performance and reliability across our applicationsContribute to reusable engineering patterns, standards and technical documentationProduct Thinking & CollaborationWork closely with Product Owners, QA and fellow Solution Engineers to turn ideas into working productsChallenge requirements constructively and contribute technical perspectives early in the product development processBreak larger initiatives into clear technical solutions and executable incrementsWork within an agile environment influenced by Scrum and Team TopologiesHelp us continuously improve how Product, Engineering and QA collaborate — including identifying where AI can make each part of the process more effectiveYour ProfileYou have a strong professional software engineering background and are capable of understanding, reviewing and challenging production-grade codeYou have solid practical experience with at least two of the following technologies/frameworks: Symfony, Sylius and Next.jsYou have experience designing APIs, integrations, data models and distributed application architecturesYou understand databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and are comfortable discussing schema design, queries and performanceYou have practical experience working with AI-assisted development and actively use AI as part of your engineering workflowYou understand both the opportunities and limitations of AI-generated software and know that generated code still requires engineering judgement and accountabilityYou are interested in AI agents, context engineering, automated development workflows and emerging AI engineering practicesYou are comfortable moving between architecture, product discussions, implementation and code reviewYou have solid experience working in agile product teams using Scrum and/or Team Topologies principlesYou think in terms of solutions and outcomes, not simply tickets and lines of codeYou have strong analytical skills and enjoy breaking complex problems into understandable and executable partsYou take ownership and are comfortable making technical decisions in a fast-moving environmentYou are proficient in English (spoken and written); German or French is a bonusExperience with technologies such as Docker, API QA continues to provide a strong quality perspective. Engineers continue to provide deep technical expertise.
